How Breakout Grading Works
Grade A Breakouts
The highest-quality setups. Grade A breakouts feature strong volume expansion on the breakout candle, alignment with the higher-timeframe trend, a clean consolidation base before the break, and no nearby resistance (for longs) or support (for shorts) that could stall the move. These breakouts have the highest follow-through rate and are the primary trading targets.
Grade B Breakouts
Good structural breakouts with one or more weakening factors — perhaps lower volume, a less clean base, or minor opposing structure nearby. These setups are tradeable but may require additional confluence from other EXCAVO indicators or a more conservative position size.
Grade C Breakouts
Technically valid breakouts that lack strong supporting factors. Common in choppy or ranging markets where false breakouts are frequent. Grade C breakouts are best avoided unless confirmed by other tools like Confluence Engine PRO.

Trading Strategies
Strategy 1: Grade A Only
The simplest and most effective approach. Only trade Grade A breakouts. Enter on the close of the breakout candle. Stop-loss below the consolidation base (for longs). Target: measured move equal to the base height or the next major structural level. Lower frequency, higher quality.
Strategy 2: Breakout + Trend Confirmation
Combine with Adaptive Supertrend for trend alignment. Only take breakouts in the direction of the prevailing trend. Breakouts with trend have significantly higher follow-through rates than counter-trend breakouts.
Strategy 3: Multi-Breakout Confluence
Use alongside Channel Breakout PRO. When both indicators confirm a breakout from the same zone — a range breakout and a channel breakout simultaneously — the confluence increases the probability of a sustained move.
